"Cosmic, luminous, structured complexity
resolving into emotional clarity."
01 — About
Quantum Etheria exists at the intersection of orchestral synthesis, electronic composition, and software engineering. We build the instruments required to make the music we hear — because no existing tool could produce the sounds we needed.
Meet the composer →We build instruments to reach sounds that do not yet exist. We begin with mathematics because mathematics is the language the universe chose before we arrived. We end with emotion because emotion is the only proof the mathematics was worth following.
Orchestral electronics — synthesized string textures, harmonic probability engines, cosmic spatial processors. Music that takes 8–13 minutes because the harmonic journeys demand their full duration. Isao Tomita's lineage, evolved forward.
Rooted in Tomita, Wendy Carlos, Klaus Schulze, and Tangerine Dream — the synthesis pioneers who proved electronics could carry orchestral weight and emotional depth. Extended through Ólafur Arnalds, Jon Hopkins, and Max Richter into the contemporary.
Other tools show you a map of known musical territory. QE plugins present mathematical behaviors — probability distributions, harmonic ratios, physical resonance models. The result is music that feels simultaneously composed and discovered.
"We reject the premise that tools should be easy — not because we enjoy difficulty, but because simplicity in a tool is usually an abbreviation of the complexity of reality, and we are interested in reality's full complexity. An instrument that tells you what to play has already decided what music can be. We make music at the scale of the cosmos and the precision of the Planck length."
02 — Music
The debut album — a meditation on wave-particle duality. Ten tracks. Seventy-five minutes. Two halves: Fields explores the wave nature; Particles, the particle. Together, a complete philosophical statement about observation, structure, and light.
A meditation on wave-particle duality — the fundamental mystery that light and matter behave as waves when unobserved, and as particles when observed. The album's two halves are the physics of music itself.

03 — Plugin Suite
The Quantum Etheria plugin suite doesn't show you a map of known musical territory — it presents mathematical behaviors. Probability distributions. Harmonic ratios. Physical resonance models. Tools that generate music that feels simultaneously composed and discovered.
Generates melodic sequences from quantum probability fields, not lookup tables. Each note has an amplitude, not a position. The difference is heard immediately — sequences that breathe, evolve, and surprise without ever being random.

04 — The Artist
Lead Composer · Sound Designer · Lyricist · Plugin Developer
Stephen Gilbert-Rivera began his musical life at the piano at age ten, progressing through teenage years playing keyboards with cover bands while continuing private lessons. He enrolled at the University of Central Florida (DBCC Extension), majoring in Music Composition — performing with both the Jazz and Symphonic bands, earning a full music scholarship.
Stephen deepened his classical foundation through six years of study under Alan Mason — noted Carnegie Hall performer, artist in residence in Daytona Beach, FL, and professor at Barry University. That rigorous classical grounding became the bedrock beneath everything that followed.
Stephen now divides his time between album recordings, live performance, and his work at MultiMedia CraftWorks — writing scores for film, jingles, computer games, and songs for independent artists across every genre. He continues to record and perform with jazz, blues, and progressive rock projects including Azureth, Cosmic Singularity, Stuey Blue and The Few, and Binary Spirals.
Quantum Etheria represents the convergence of these threads — the orchestral ambition of his progressive rock work, the harmonic sophistication of his jazz years, and the software engineering discipline of a composer who builds his own instruments.
